What a Surprise! ~ A Most Uniquely Delivered Compliment

I got the sweetest surprise tonight.  I was just enjoying a little down time with the hubby on the couch, he was reading a book and I was playing catch up with posts from my favorite bloggers.  I saw a recent post by Misty Schutt, who is the extremely funny girl who did the "Hazards of Backyard Hens" video I told you about recently.  If you have not watched it yet, you really need to.  If you have watched it already, go ahead and watch it again...I don't think there is a limit to how many times you can watch it and literally laugh out load.

Anyway, Misty posted a new video on Friday, but I hadn't seen yet because it's been crazy busy around here.  So I am sitting there with the laptop in my lap watching the video entitled "Compliments and Censures" when all of a sudden she gives ME a Compliment right in her video!  How cool is that?  It seems that Misty enjoyed my post about evacuating with 9 chickens, 3 cats, 2 dogs, 2 grandkids, and 1 husband, all in about 30 minutes.  I am so honored that she visited my blog and apparently spent quite a bit of time reading it.

Here is this weeks video by Misty...

Very nice 'Compliment delivery' Misty...Thank you so much!

Keeper of 1 husband, 2 grandkids, 3 dogs,
3 cats, and 17 Chickens!

I am so glad she acknowledged you!! Since finding your blog I have always been surprised you don't have more followers. It has some seriously good content and is extremely informative!! If you ask me, if you keep this up, at some point things are gonna "blow up" (in a good way) for you - and probably soon! Keep it up, my fellow chicken lady! :D

Aw Lana, you are such a doll :-) thank you! I am not worried about how many followers I have right now. This blog is great therapy for me, a great way to document what I am learning, and will one day be a good place for other beginners to find answers to some of the same questions I had when I started out. I actually kind of enjoy being small and getting to know other backyard farmers and chicken folks like you.

If I do "blow up" I do hope its in a good way, lol ;-)
Bahaha - I guess that was kind of a given!! LOL!! I can't stop laughing now heehee!
I agree! I love your blog and find it very helpful with learning new things with my girls! I know people will find you out and be hooked! Congrats on the compliment!! :)

See, the followers I do have are so Awesome like you Mary!!
That's so cool! I did see her video about chickens and laughed so hard. Probably because it was all true! We moved out of the city to the country after getting our chickens and totally changed our way of life.

From my point of view it's a great natural progression...from those not already addicted to backyard farming I can see how they might think we are crazy, LOL. Call me Crazy, but I am so happy to be on this slippery slope!
