Coming Soon...The Backyard Chicken Lady Blog

This is the future home of

The Backyard Chicken Lady Blog

This blog is currently under construction.  I plan to use this blog to keep share my journey back in to raising chickens in my backyard.  I have always had a bit of an abnormal attraction for chickens of all kinds.   As a child I grew up on a small family farm where we had Chickens, Cows, Goats, Pigs, grew our own food in a large family garden.  This part of my roots has stuck with me for my whole life as a positive time in my life.  Now that I am over 50 I want to bring back the peace, calm, and contentment I felt in my life with Chickens...Please follow me on this journey.

The inspiration came from Ellie, a Hen belonging to Tammy over at "Our Neck of the Woods" blog...

If you subscribe to my posts below, you will get an email whenever I have new posts to share.  You  can find me in several places online such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and more, that I will post a link to below as I get them set up.

  3. I agree Holly Ive been following "The Chicken Chick" a little after I started my Hen Haven Facebook page. BTW Kathy I ask you a few weeks ago if roosters "help" with sitting on eggs. I have the Old English Game (bantam) hen and rooster. I went out this afternoon and peeped in on them and both were in the nest. :)). Too bad I didn't have my camera like I normally do. Holly I'm like you I've learned lot from Kathy and everytime I asked a question she answered.
